The Bill (Reg. No.1273) introduces amendments to Article 22 of the Land Code, which specify cases when acquisition of proprietary rights to the land plots of agricultural purpose by the foreign citizens and stateless persons is restricted.
The Committee believes that the Bill complies with Article 26 of the Constitution of Ukraine, pursuant to which foreigners and stateless persons who are in Ukraine on legal grounds enjoy the same rights and freedoms and also bear the same duties as citizens of Ukraine.
Therefore, the Committee recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill as a Basis with its further elaboration required.
